INT. RECORDING for the after school
This is all enough to intimidate our protagonist, who is currently being interviewed by a newsagent host for his controversy regarding an insensitive comment he made about people who work regular 9 to 5 jobs
Our Protagonist, is a social media Bilal who rose to popularity only last year
In this interview chellemy will be interviewing bilal asking him questions about his comments which he has made in the past on social media.
chellemy
Welcome back to chadwell heath academy radio
Thank you for joining us, I’m chellmey and today we are interviewing Bilal, please take a seat.
*The Bilal enters the room
Bilal
Sure, is here fine
chellemy
*The Bilal sits down on a chair*
Bilal
I’m ready to start now
chellmey
We’re going live on their air in three, two, one, now. Thank you for joining us this evening.
Bilal
No problem, thank you guys for letting me get my voice out there, this last month has been really rough for me
chellmey
I can tell, you look tired, anyways lets begin with the recent controversy, what was up with that
Bilal
It’s all a very stupid situation, all this over a small comment I made.
chellmey
Do you think it was that small if so many people were offended by the comment you made
Bilal
Yes, I never even meant it like that anyway
chellmey
How exactly did you mean it then
Bilal
I meant it as people who work 9 to 5’s but overspend all their money as if they are rich
chellmey
Did you really mean... that. That’s so different than how you stated it in the video, it almost sounds like an excuse
Bilal
It isn’t, what would I have to make excuses about
chellmey
Your comment maybe
Bilal
Excuse me, what exactly are you implying
chellmey
So, regarding your response, what exactly do you have to say to the people who won’t believe your defence
Bilal
I don’t really care much, people who don’t believe me are just broke and shallow, they can stay broke for all I care
chellmey
That’s a very bold statement for someone who claims they weren't targeting people who aren’t financially stable, almost as if your defence is just made up.
Did you know me and my family struggled financially growing up, we weren’t financially stable
Bilal
And you’re acting as if that’s my fault, what the hell
chellmey
Don’t interrupt me, I’m trying to finish what i am saying,
Bilal
No, you’re implying something completely different to what I actually meant, what is wrong with you chellmy could you not just try assume these thoughts
chellmey
Bilal this is meant to be a interview asking you about what happened not a back and forth argument. Anyways could you tell us why you deleted all your social media account?
Bilal
Its been extremely hard for me in the last couple months …… ,the reason i had deleted all my social media account is because i have been getting so much hate just because the viewers have misunderstood what i said and took it in the wrong context
Chellmy
I can understand that its been hard for you for the last couple months with all these hate comments and the way they act towards you but what you said effected loads of peoples feeling therefore they act like this.
Bilal
Yes i understand what is said its said i cant go back and change what i said however the audience needs to understand why would i say such thing like that, especially when being a social media influencer.
chellmy
Bilal
Well they should be a bit more considerate about taking things literal
chellmy
It's not too late to do the right thing Bilal, that being apologising for your rash statement and try and explain to them the context you meant it in
BILAL
Yeah, I get it, not like I have much of a choice though, what if they still don’t forgive my choice of words?
CHELLMY
There’s always a choice, even if people still don’t understand, at least you did the right thing and apologised, who are we to judge people who genuinely want to better themselves
BILAL
I understand, maybe I was a bit out of line with how I portrayed poor people, I’ll do what I can to make things right
CHELLMY
Thats great, besides, people tuning in to this live stream will have heard your thoughts and intentions meaningsome people might already have forgiven you for it
You heard it here first, thank you all for tuning in, i’m sure we’ve learnt a lot here today and how to come off as more sincere towards others, Bilal, make sure you do your best to become better
BILAL
I will do
CHELLMY
With that, thank you all for listening to chadwell heath academy radio see you all next week.
